MARTA

For those flying in or out of Atlanta, note that there is work being done on the MARTA Airport Station. If you plan to use MARTA, make sure to check their website for any updates in advance of your trip.

Road Closure

Construction on Phase 3 of Tech Square will result in 5th Street being closed every day from 7:00 am-4:00 pm starting on Monday, April 29. If you are driving to the conference, this will likely result in delays. Per Georgia Tech Facilities: "All lanes on Fifth Street between West Peachtree Street and Spring Street will be closed from 7 am – 4 pm, with the road reopening outside of those hours. Irregular traffic patterns should be expected as bikes and vehicles will be required to utilize alternative routes. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected as sidewalks will remain open."

Parking

10th Anniversary Celebration and Welcome Reception (Monday, April 29)
If you will be parking at the reception, you can use the Biltmore parking deck, accessible from 5th Street NE, between W Peachtree Street and Cypress Street. There will be a parking attendant there to let you in. You will not need a ticket—simply drive in and park where directed.

OMSCS Conference (Tuesday, April 30 & Wednesday, May 1)
For the conference, we recommend parking in the Georgia Tech Hotel parking garage, located off of Spring Street NW. For directions, see the "Parking" section on the Georgia Tech Hotel website. The Global Learning Center is accessible directly from the 2nd floor of the parking garage.

If you requested parking validation, bring your ticket with you to the registration desk to obtain your validation sticker. If you're parking on both days, you'll need to do this each day. Parking validation stickers will be available only for those attendees who requested them during registration. For those who did not request parking validation, you can still park in the Georgia Tech Hotel parking garage, but you will need to cover the cost of parking.

Accommodations

We recommend booking your accommodations as soon as you have registered for the conference. Georgia Tech's commencement website lists hotels around campus... plus some popular Atlanta restaurants!
