Keynote Address: Dr. Zvi Galil

Wednesday, May 3, 1:10-2:10 pm

The keynote address on May 3 will be from none other than Dr. Zvi Galil! Dr. Galil has had a remarkable career that has included positions such as: chair of the Computer Science Department at Columbia University; dean of Columbia's Fu Foundation School of Engineering & Applied Science; president of Tel Aviv University; and dean of the College of Computing at Georgia Tech. In addition, he has written over 200 scientific papers, edited 5 books, and given more than 250 lectures in 30 countries. Moreover, he was a moving force behind the establishment of the OMSCS program, and he regularly gives talks around the world about OMSCS—this keynote will be OMSCS Talk #99! We are thrilled to have him as the keynote speaker at the inaugural OMSCS Conference! Read more about Dr. Galil on the Keynote page.

Reception & Game Night

Wednesday, May 3, 6:00-8:00 pm

Chat with fellow conference attendees, as well as folks from the OMSCS team, over light food and drinks! Take pictures with your newfound friends in our conference photo area, and then destroy those same friends in a variety of board/card games. Game night and the photo area will be ready around 6:30 pm.

**Note: If you plan to drink alcohol, make sure to have your ID with you when you check in. This could be a driver's license, passport, or any other identification that proves you're at least 21 years old.**

Mini Career Fair and Campus Services

Thursday, May 4, 9:00 am-12:00 pm

You will have the opportunity to chat with representatives from J.P. Morgan, the National Security Agency (NSA), BlackRock, and Itential at the mini career fair, as well as representatives from both the Alumni Association and the Center for Mental Health Care & Resources at Georgia Tech! The OMSCS team will also be available to chat with you, so please come say hi!
