Ana Mary Rusch is a Research Associate who works for the OMSCS program. She has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with second majors in both Geography and Political Science; a master’s degree in Geography; and a Ph.D. in Sociology, all from Florida International University. Rusch's research focuses on Immigration and Integration Studies, Cuban Diaspora Studies, Identity Studies, and Gender Studies. She has worked with online courses and programs for most of her career in different capacities across content and design with a focus on instituting DEI, accessibility, and culturally responsive pedagogy. Currently, Rusch’s research focuses on addressing barriers to equity in tech and designing solutions through an intersectional and sociocultural lens of diversity and inclusion.
